Shenzhen-based DJI held over 90% of the global consumer drone market in 2024, and reviewers rate its Osmo Action 5 Pro ahead of the GoPro Hero 13 Black on sensor size, battery life and low-light video. Since the FCC's December 2025 Covered List action new DJI models can't get US authorization (the Osmo Pocket 4 isn't sold in the US), though models already approved keep working.

Shenzhen-based Insta360 (Arashi Vision) makes the X-series 360 cameras that Tom's Guide calls the best 360 camera money can buy, plus Ace Pro action cameras co-engineered with Leica. A February 2026 US ITC exclusion order over a GoPro design patent covers only older designs; Insta360's current lineup remains on US sale.

Eufy is the security-camera brand of China's Anker Innovations; Security.org rates it 8/10, with free local storage and features comparable to Arlo at lower prices. In 2022 it was found uploading some footage to cloud servers despite local-only claims, then apologised and changed its policies.

HoverAir palm-launched, follow-me camera drones are made by China's Zero Zero Robotics, founded in 2014 by two Stanford PhDs. New Atlas called the 8K X1 ProMax a worthy prosumer drone and well worth its $699 price.

Reolink, headquartered in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, sells wired PoE and battery security cameras that record locally to microSD, a home hub or an NVR with no required subscription. PCWorld called its 4K dual-lens Argus 4 Pro an excellent security camera.
